IDENTIFYING AND ADDRESSING CORE ISSUES

Why is it better with a trained Therapist or Practitioner?

EFT is not a precise therapy, and there is plenty of room for intuitive improvising in stating the affirmation or reminder phrase and in the order or omission of tapping points.  EFT is a very forgiving process when it comes to error.  It is a very good idea, however, to seek advanced help or training in these methods and learn the various alternate methods beyond the short-cut versions of EFT and this “Basic Recipe.”  Virtually anyone (from little kids to adults) can tune into their emotional and physical feelings and use EFT as a self-management tool to help clear those feelings and aid in the healing.  A person does not necessarily have to know about diagnosis to have success using EFT, and it has indeed been used safely and effectively by therapists and laypersons alike.  However, many laypersons left to their own devices will deal only with the superficial discomfort and not get to the root core/cause, belief systems, or hidden aspects of the issues.  In those cases, the problem often returns.  This is when the expertise of a trained therapist or practitioner can be invaluable in achieving deeper and more lasting results.

The ability to diagnose is important for professional therapists in working with energy therapies, especially those dealing with clinically disturbed patients.  Basic EFT should never be considered an overall substitute for seeking comprehensive professional psychotherapy or medical help.

It is a great self help tool, but can be greatly enhanced with a practitioner/therapist.  The joining and guiding of energies can be more powerful, more synergy.  The therapist/practitioner helps the person go deeper, provides safety, and can help confront or identify hidden aspects.  The therapy client more likely to complete and heal the core issues, often the root of the problems.

It takes skill, expertise, and experience to become proficient at pinpointing what should be addressed and extracting hidden aspects of the problem when working with deeper issues.  Proper training, therapeutic knowledge, and intuition, are extremely beneficial in using these techniques to their full advantage, and can make significant differences in the level of results.
